About

Cau·se·rie
/ˌkōzəˈrē/ noun — an informal talk or conversation.
The Causerie Project is our take on a modern literary style salon for curious minds. Our goal is to build community and connection through intimate gatherings where people come together to share knowledge, stories, and ideas. Each event takes place in an undisclosed venue revealed only hours before.
The evening unfolds through a mix of short presentations and live storytelling that range from hilarious to thought provoking to deeply moving. Presenters sign up in advance to share a topic of their choice, while guests are invited to arrive with curiosity and openness to the exchange of ideas.
The setting is intentionally small and interactive, with food and drinks woven into the experience. Conversations flow freely, questions are welcomed, and the atmosphere feels more like an evening among friends than a traditional show. Whether guests come with a group or on their own, they leave with new ideas, new connections, and a sense of belonging to something special.
At its heart, The Causerie Project is about discovery: of people, of stories, of perspectives. It is about building community in the most human way, through conversation, laughter, and shared moments.

Inspiration Behind The Causerie Project

In 18th-century Europe, salons were intimate gatherings hosted in private homes, often by influential women known as salonnières. These salons became cultural hubs where artists, writers, philosophers, and politicians mingled to exchange ideas, debate new discoveries, and spark creative movements. More than formal lectures, they were lively, social evenings—part conversation, part performance, part community.Gather draws from this legacy, reimagining the salon for a modern audience. Like its predecessors, it creates a space where people can connect over curiosity, creativity, and conversation. But instead of aristocratic parlors, Gather unfolds in hidden, unexpected venues revealed only hours before. The spirit is the same: intimate, idea-driven, and fueled by discovery—an evening where knowledge and storytelling mingle with laughter, food, and shared human connection.
